Hello!!!!!!!

So this week was amazing!!!
I love my new companion sister Hunt! I found out later that she is from Toelle Utah!! I am so happy!
I did get the box that you sent me. I looooooove my new scripture case! its so awesome! also I don't think you should send me my new coat just yet. or to send me that coat at all. I don't move in it very well, and it would just be easier if I could buy a coat there.
I thought garrett was moving in with Jesse Hampsh? what happened?
Garrett or Gavin didn't write me, but I am sure Garrett is incredibly busy with school, and I know that Gavin is just sort of stressed.
Garrett! I want YOU to know that just marry Hayley! I hear you are close! she sounds so amazing! I love her already, and I haven't even met her yet.
Gavin, I want you to know, everything is going to be okay. I'm not going to lie, the work is stressful, but it is so amazing and rewarding! you will have so much fun!!
Dad, that is so awesome that you and mom are going to boise. Say hi to Grandma and Grandpa for me!!!
Dang! I totally forgot that chelsea's wedding was already here! thats crazy! I am so happy for them! tell them congratulations for me :)

So I went to the temple on wednesday, and the new film is SO AMAZING! oh my gosh! I cannot tell you how amazing it is! you have a more appreciation for Eve, and her sacrifice.
On sunday, we did have a person who was interested in the church, and did have some bad experiences with the catholic church, and doesn't really have an understanding of who god really is. Which is exciting!
Saturday, we saw the groundbreaking for the Fort Collins Temple! We couldn't actually go becuase it was for specific people. But it was broadcasted at the stake center. I have to say, it wasn't too exciting, but I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to witness it.
So yesterday, we were visiting a Less Active, and we met with this guy, who turns out the people we were trying to see had moved out. So we found out that he was a Born Again Christian, and somehow we ended up talking about the Nephites and Lamanites, and how he wanted proof. I don't know. Born Agains have very interesting ideas about us.
So really cool thing happened on tuesday that was so amazing. The day before I transfered in, there was a baptism in the area that I was going to serve in. So I met with her on Tuesday and the woman's family was there, and they were talking about how great they felt at the baptism. The mom felt the spirit so strongly when we were there. So at the end of our meeting, both the parents have agreed to take the discussions!!! they have two little girls who are 11 and 7, and have also agreed to take the discussions. THE WHOLE FAMILY IS NOW INVESTIGATING!!! how amazing!!!
The spirit of the Lord can touch the hearts of those people, and it is truley amazing of WHO it can touch! The gospel is so very true. If we didn't have the Holy Ghost, then we wouldn't know that this church is true.

I love you all!!

Weekly Letter August 19, 2013

Looks like a greasy lunch!  Five Guys
                                   New Companion   Sister Hunt
                                       Elder Flemming

Hello!!
Thank you for the letters! love them!
Garrett! you sound soooo happy with Hayley!! I love the pictures that you sent! that is sooooooo crazy that you leave for school tomorrow! oh my gosh! time flies!
Gavin!!! Holy Cow!! 10 days!!! that is so amazing!! you are going to have a blast!! and I am so glad you are going to arizona instead of me becuase if a scorpian crawled into my pillow at night, I would die. I would be like "President....... send me home" haha. just kidding, you will be able to handle it better then I. :)
Mom, take it easy. Don't be too busy because of your heart. You need to relax a little bit, I know that you are stressed out becuase of Garrett and Gav leaving, but don't stress too much :)
Dad, I am glad you are back home safely. thank you for that little analogy/story you sent. it was really good!
so this week, has been a super interesting week! Not much to write.
For service projects we volunteer at the thrift store, and the food bank. One of the picture that I sent you is of the whole district of sisters going out to lunch at 5 guys burgers. soooooooo good!!! oh my gosh!
The other picture is of me and Elder Flemming who is mega awesome.
and the other picture of who I am doing the REALLY weird peace sign with is my new companion Sister Hunt! She is mega awesome and is super outgoing. I actually used to be with her when I went on exchanges once a week. pretty cool!
Yes, I was transferred, but really not that far. I went from the Hidden Lake ward to the Savory Ponds ward. I just went out of my district. I am still in the city of Westminster. :)
So I have to be frank. Sister Kim and I haven't been getting along the WHOLE transfer. I didn't tell you this because I didn't want to worry you. But you can learn from this (especially you gavin)
The last week, we have been arguing and arguing. I really tried to fix the relationship between me and her, and she wasn't willing to try, so finally on Saturday, I had had enough. I was finally honest with her about what she was doing, and we had a HUGE argument, that pretty much turned into a yelling match almost. I apologized to her all over the place and she was still furious with me. I did my part, and I was wanting to talk to her again, but something told me not too. So finally Sunday afternoon, she wanted to talk to me again. She apologized to me all over the place. We talked for a half an hour. and ended up crying because it was the day before transfer day, and we just hugged it out, which is amazing because she NEVER hugs! We are still in the same zone, so I will see her again soon :)
But I am so glad the Lord put me with her because I have learned so much from her! She had told me that I taught her forgiveness. I am quick to forgive which is virtue. She is so amazing! I already miss her and I saw her this morning! The lesson that I learned from her is always be honest with your companion no matter how hard it is because you will have unity and the spirit will reside.
I love you all! (hopefully a longer letter next week)

Hello!!!
First of all I want to say, that why didn't Gavin and Garrett write me??? whats going on? is Garrett too in love? :)
Second of all: Mom, the members provide blankets and sheets. I don't know why I was told to bring a pair of sheets because we have been provided those. But I keep them just in case. the thing I know about transer is that President Toombs said we are being separated, because he is putting all of the sister training leaders together. So I will get the call if I will stay in my area or leave the area. I am leaning more on leaving the area. The weather here is VERY hot and very stormy. it can get up to over 100 and, it can cool down to about 70 something when it rains. really weird. I have no idea if I have gained or lost any weight, I have no access to a scale. I do exercise every morning. But about twice a week, some mornings its just a stretching day . just kidding. on Pdays, it has recently changed because we are not allowed to hangout with the elders anymore. I guess the age makes a difference. I don't know. But we have made plans last week to go shopping and just hang around the stores.
Dad, I have heard a lot from members that the temple film has been changed, but STILL haven't seen it! I want to go to the temple soooooo bad!!! By the way, hope you had a safe flight today to chicago. I would LOVE to go there.
Garrett, you and Hayley, make an adorable couple! she's super cute! I foresee a wedding here soon! I am excited for you to go to school! how exciting! :D
Gavin! I heard you are freaking out a little. I want you to take a deep breath, and let it out slowly. Don't get agitated and take it out on somebody else. that is the worst thing you can do. when you are feeling overwhelmed, go in prayer with a sincere heart. Everything will turn out okay. I got to the MTC, and I don't know what I was so stressed about. I love you Gav, and go forward with faith!
This week has been hectic, and exciting! we are still teaching the family, and we are on to lesson two, and we still haven't asked them to baptism. Gabe seems really willing to listen, and is still thinking about it yet. Jennifer doesn't seem too interested, but loved it when we came and talked to her about family. Gabe and Jennifer have been together for 19 years, and they haven't gotten married yet. I feel so bad for her, because she is really wanting to. Please pray for Jennifer because she is really struggling with some health problems.
We had taught somebody else who is 15 years old. We taught her the first lesson, and we asked her to be baptised, and she said yes!!!!!!!! I am so excited!! the spirit was so strong in that room. She didn't even have to think about it, because she just knew that it was the true church. It's such an exciting thing! I am so excited for her.
The gospel is so very true. Heavenly Father had sent us down to earth for a reason, and we are here for a reason. Joseph smith was sent here because God knew that he could handle becoming the prophet.
that is all for the week. I love you guys so much!
Gavin and Garrett! write me! or I will send the missionaries over and chastize you. haha. just kidding

Hello!!!
Garrett! Congrats on getting a girlfriend! sounds like a keeper! you better not get married till I come home. come on. its only a year and a half!
Gavin, I am sooooooo glad you are doing better. sorry that you were sick, not fun. those feelings will soon go away when you are in the MTC. Hopefully you will be in the west campus. You will be so spoiled over there!! Anyway if you are still having feelings like you did last week, just read Moroni 10. it gives good advice
Dad, the weather here has been raining and storming all week long. almost everyday which I looooooove!!!  and your going to chicago???? that would be so awesome!! Going to a new place and a different culture within the states. I would totally go with you.
Mom, What do you mean I don't make comments on your letters? I do that every week. I did not get the family pictures, I got the sister pictures, but no family, also we are allowed to write friends. I write my MTC comp every week, we were like sisters. :) also, I am only going to say this once. quit worrying!!!! Don't worry about me and my comp because we are doing fine, it was a bad week and we are over it.  We are learning from each other, and the lord has put me with her for a reason. I will send you pictures shortly which was my bad last week. sorry :( Also we go to the temple once a month starting this month, but it is still a working day which means that we are to be in the session AT 6:30. ugh
This week was not a very eventful week so it is going to be relatively short. sorry.
About 3 times a week we are to volunteer for 10 hours. We go to the food bank and a thrift store. The missionaries use a site called justserve.org. it is amazing and can put you on projects when you sign up. Members use it as well.
We are teaching an investigator who feels something when we teach him, and we have planned to ask him for baptism this week!!! Hurray!! I am so excited! we will see how it goes because I don't think his wife is too interested, but his kids are. We will see how it goes. The rest of our time is just visiting less active members. In our ward there are about 100 people, but if we had all the inactive come back to church, we would have about 300 members. The other good thing about this area, is that we share the ward with the Elders, so if we have an investigator who is a single guy, then we can pass them off to the elders, and Vica Verse. Pretty soon there we will be about 3 sets of missionaries in one ward. crazy!!!
Nothing much going on. sorry. I am going on exchanges with sister Hunt tonight which will be fun.
Anyway, that is my week in a nutshell.
Love you all!!!

just a picture of the valley, and you can see downtown from miles away. not a lot of mountains. on one side, there are mountains and the other is just nothing :)

Mom, mark this down in history. your daughter, of whom is 20 years old, has FINALLY learned how to braid her hair :)
